CALL TO ARTISTS

Artists are invited to submit up to two pieces of their own original two dimensional artwork which is:

  • Any media
  • Maximum framed size 1m x 1.2m
  • No photography or digital work
  • Entry close on Monday 5th of May and numbers MAY be capped for display purposes

Additional Information

  1. Each entrant is limited to a total of 2 entries.
  2. All works must be original, not copied, unaided work, and not have been exhibited in previous Pinjarra Rotary Art Exhibitions. Photographs are excluded.
  3. Committee reserves the right to reject any work.
  4. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. No liability is accepted for loss or damage. All reasonable care taken but the Rotary Club of Pinjarra accepts no responsibility.
  5. Nonrefundable fee of $25.00 inc. GST per entry to accompany entry form.
  6. If utilising courier service; additional $25.00 inc. GST transport fee will apply per ENTRY.
  7. No entries or changes to the entry form will be accepted after the closing date.
  8. All works must be for sale. A commission of 25% payable to the Rotary club of Pinjarra on all works sold.
  9. If the artist has an ABN and is registered for the GST, GST must be included in the sale price.
  10. If the artist does not have an ABN and they deem themselves to be a ‘hobbyist’, they must provide a completed and signed ‘Statement by a Supplier’ form on sale of any Artworks. https://www.ato.gov.au/forms-and-instructions/statement-by-supplier-not-quoting-an-abn
  11. Artists failing to specify tax information as stated above will be subject to withholding tax at the rate of 48.5% of the gross sales price.
  12. The maximum framed size of an exhibit will not exceed 1m x 1.2m. Works with protrusions will not be accepted.
  13. Diptyches and pairs must be hinged. If separately framed will be considered as separate entries.
  14. Entries must be dry and fitted with wires ready for hanging and must be clearly marked on the back with the artist’s name and address, sale price and title compatible with entry form.
  15. The entrant agrees that the organising committee reserves the right to reproduce, clear of copyright, exhibits for publicity or for record purposes.
  16. The Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  17. After costs, all proceeds go to the charities nominated by the Rotary Club of Pinjarra.
  18. Net proceeds of sales and prize monies will be paid upon provision of artist’s EFT details within 45 days of the close of the exhibition.

Unsold works will be available for collection from the same drop-off location as above on Wednesday 4th June between 10 am and12 noon

Entries must be dropped to the Pinjarra Civic Centre on Wednesday 28th May 10:00am to 12:30pm
